Kensington Quarter wins International Hotel & Property Award

Dexter Moren Associates’ design for the Kensington Quarter Café Bar Restaurant at Hotel Indigo London Kensington has won the International Hotel & Property Award 2015 in the restaurant within a hotel category.

Innovative in its approach, the Kensington Quarter introduces an element of retail combined with an artisan deli, bar and restaurant. It sets a new precedent for InterContinental’s Indigo brand placing a key focus on targeting local residents as much as hotel guests. Working closely with InterContinental Hotels Group, Dexter Moren Associates developed Kensington’s new food & beverage concept providing an offering which was not at the time offered within the local area. The Kensington Quarter is a multi-functional local deli space, complete with private dining snug area, which gives residents a place to meet and shop for locally sourced artisan produce while allowing guests of the hotel to feel connected to the neighbourhood.

Hosted by leading interior design magazine design et al and the Design Society, the International Hotel & Property Awards recognise, showcase and celebrate architects and interior designers who are at the forefront of contemporary design in the hospitality sector, DMA are delighted to be named as winners.
